Jeolla

Jeolla is known as the home of Namdo cooking. Often the place name is the dish name — pi-sundae in Buan, Naju gomtang, the tteok-galbi alley in Gwangju — and in Jeonju's Hanok Village there's Waengi Kongnamul-gukbap for a wake-up bowl and Gyodong Seokgalbi for a hot-plate galbi spread with lavish side dishes. With South Jeolla and Gwangju now administratively merged as Jeonnam-Gwangju, addresses have changed too; the write-ups use the new form.
