Paradise City CimerYeongjong Island by Incheon Airport, the Seoul Area's Smartest Spa
The moment the indoor pool opened up under its big domed roof, I found myself wondering whether the Seoul area had anything this well-equipped.

Under the dome, it reads like a resort
Inside, the indoor pool opens up under a big domed roof. Sun loungers set out over the water, coloured glass railings, an arched colonnade — it all reads as resort. As Korean sauna facilities go, this is one of the sleeker ones.

What it looks like
Blue water spreads in the middle of a vast indoor space covered by a glass roof, with people playing in the water and at its edges. The floor is tiled in a blue-and-white curved pattern, with sun loungers topped with white cushions and round daybeds placed here and there. Arched windows and pillars run along both walls, and on some floors purple and pink translucent glass panels are attached. In each bay on the upper floor you can also see small pool-like spaces reflecting blue water, and a white swan-shaped float drifts on the water at one side.
Tucked inside the Paradise City resort
Cimer is the spa-and-sauna part of Paradise City, an integrated resort on Yeongjong Island next to Incheon Airport — a hotel, casino, art space and club all in one place.
Incheon Airport is so close that you spot foreign travellers here, some of them looking like they've come straight off a flight with their suitcases. There's an indoor-and-outdoor pool area you enter in swimwear, and a separate bathe-and-sauna zone you enter undressed.
Time limits — four hours or six
The ticket comes with a time limit. Sauna only is four hours; add the spa (pools) and it's six. The aqua spa (sauna + pools) runs about ₩60,000 off-peak and ₩70,000 in peak season, while the sauna-only jjimjil pass runs roughly ₩30,000–40,000. Hours are 10:00–19:00 on weekdays and 10:00–21:00 on weekends and holidays. Check the exact current price and whether the outdoor pool is open for the season on the booking page.
For foreign visitors
- Paradise City is an integrated resort on Yeongjong Island next to Incheon Airport (T1) — 10 minutes by car, and reachable by the maglev train or a free shuttle. Handy for a long layover.
- Cimer splits into a swimwear zone (spa and pools) and a nude sauna zone. The sauna (jjimjilbang) is Korean bathing culture and can feel unfamiliar the first time — no swimwear, and you must shower before entering.
- The ticket has a time limit (4 hours sauna / 6 hours with spa), so note your entry time.
- It's busy on weekends and school holidays. Think seeing the place plus a swim rather than a quiet spa.
- Being inside a resort, signage and staff tend to handle English.
Who this suits
- ✅ You have a long layover or transit at Incheon Airport to fill
- ✅ You want to try a new, clean sauna and spa in the Seoul area once
- ✅ You're already going to Paradise City (hotel, casino, exhibitions)
- ⚠️ You want a quiet soak and full rest — it's crowded and time-limited
- ⚠️ You're coming from central Seoul on public transport only — it's the airport line plus a transfer, not a quick hop
Before you go
- Getting there — Yeongjong Island, Jung-gu, Incheon, inside the Paradise City resort. From Incheon Airport Terminal 1, take the maglev, a shuttle or a taxi.
- Tickets — a sauna ticket (4 hours) and a spa-plus-sauna ticket (6 hours). The outdoor pool runs seasonally, so check before booking.
- What to bring — swimwear is required for the spa and pool zone. The sauna zone provides a gown and towels.
- A meal elsewhere in Incheon — if your trip takes you into the city, Cheonghae Gimbap is an easy, low-key snack-bar stop.
