There is no tipping

Korea has no tipping culture. Not in restaurants, cafes, taxis or hotels.
- The amount on the bill is the whole amount. Service is already included
- Leave a tip on the table and staff will often chase you down to return it
- Where a service charge does apply — some luxury hotels, some fine dining — it is stated on the receipt
Not tipping is not rude. It is simply how it works.
